Riverboat on the Nile

River boat on the Nile – Early morning on the Nile. We went through a lock last night and we’re still on the move this morning. The other boats pass us all day, nearly all the other riverboats are larger than the Doma.
Along the Nile River

Today we will see many factories built along the Nile.

Another clear and calm morning. Perfect conditions for our cruise along the Nile this morning.
Factories along the Nile

There doesn’t appear to be much for pollution control in many of the factories.
Docked at Edfu

Our first stop today is Edfu. Many other boats are at shore with the passengers viewing the temples.
Short walk to temples

Once docked it was only a short 15 minute walk over to the temples of Edfu.

Plenty of merchandise to purchase along the way.

Approaching Kom Ombo Temple

Coming into shore slowly for our next stop. At 5:30 p.m. we arrived at Kom Ombo and docked along some other boats. We then made our way through these boats in order to get to shore where we entered the temples of Kom Ombo.
Kom Ombo

The details at Kom Ombo seem to be preserved better than many of the other temples.
